Lost Dog and Cat

I undertook this photojournalism project with the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF) in 2014. I started volunteering with the organization walking dogs at adoption events while I researched the organization. After a few months I visited their farm in Virginia and began photographing the facilities and adoption events. I documented the animals, facilities, volunteers and adoption process. The final photo essay follows Callahan, a pit bull mix puppy, from the LDCRF farm through meeting his new owner and leaving the Petco event towards his forever home.
